Next Level Grits
A Southern breakfast staple—kicked up a notch! These creamy, comforting grits are taken to the next level with the savory addition of sautéed peppers, onions, and a touch of rich cream cheese. 3 Tbsp Butter
1/4 Cup Red Pepper
1/4 Cup Scallions
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1 tsp Garlic
1 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
1/2 Cup Water
1 Cup Grits
1/4 Cup Garlic & Herb Cream Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Melt the butter on medium low in a medium sized pot
Add Peppers and Scallions
Saute for about 2 minutes
Add Garlic,Heavy Cream, Chicken Broth, andWater
Bring to a boil
Whisk in grits
Reduce heat to simmer
Continue to whisk for about 5 minutes
Cover and Simmer(stir often) for about 45 minutes or until grits have soften
Add Cream Cheese, Salt and Pepper to taste
Garnish Parmesan Cheese and Scallions
add more water if too thick
